Today, we journeyed from Montezuma to Albuquerque, and the drive certainly tested our patience. The day began with promise—Lucky seemed enthusiastic as we loaded up the car. But as we hit the road, the scenery quickly became monotonous, and the hours stretched on.Our drive included three charging stops, which provided brief moments of relief. The first was in Flagstaff, where we enjoyed the cool mountain air and grabbed some coffee. The second was in Holbrook, a quick stop for a snack and another charge. By the time we reached Milan for our last charging stop, we were more than ready to leave the road behind.

Lucky, as always, handled the journey with ease, alternating between naps and peering out the window with curious eyes. When we finally arrived at our Airbnb in Albuquerque, we were delighted to find a cozy house with plenty of parking, spacious rooms, and a small yard for Lucky to explore. After a long day of sitting in the car, we took him out for a half-hour bike ride. Watching him run alongside with excitement was the perfect antidote to the boredom of the drive. After freshening up, we walked to Cocina Azul, a local New Mexican restaurant just a short distance from the Airbnb.

The meal was incredible—a well-deserved treat after a day of traveling. With full stomachs and grateful hearts, we returned to our temporary home and settled in for the night. Lucky curled up in his favorite spot on the floor, clearly happy to have some quiet time.It wasn’t the most exciting day, but it ended on a high note. Here’s hoping for more engaging adventures tomorrow!
