We had a wonderful day wandering around the heart of New York City, and I’m excited to share the highlights! Our first stop was Madame Tussauds. The wax figures were incredibly lifelike, and Grace and I had fun trying to guess which of the more recent celebrities were who—some were spot on, others made us smile with our guesses. While the museum wasn’t as thrilling as we expected, it was still entertaining to stroll through and take a few photos with the stars, even if they were made of wax!

After that, we enjoyed a leisurely walk through Bryant Park. It’s such a peaceful spot amid the busy city, with lovely green space and a lovely atmosphere. Just nearby is the New York Public Library, which is truly a beautiful building. Walking inside felt like stepping back in time, with impressive architecture and a calm, welcoming feeling that made us want to stay a while.

Next, we visited St. Patrick’s Cathedral, an extraordinary piece of architecture with soaring ceilings and beautiful stained glass windows. It’s a real gem in the city, and we took the time to appreciate its serene beauty.

Our last stop was Grand Central Terminal. What a marvelous place! The ceiling, the crowds, the famous clock—it’s all part of the New York experience. We enjoyed a bite to eat there while soaking up the lively atmosphere before catching the subway back to Queens.

The subway ride itself was part of the adventure, filled with the usual hustle and bustle and some unexpected moments along the way. All in all, it was a memorable day filled with good company, interesting places, and plenty of laughs. Looking forward to our next outing!
