Queens to Columbia Heights: Our Epic Adventure

What’s better than a trip down the east coast? Not much, but our recent journey from Queens to the heart of DC definitely comes close. We kicked off our adventure bright and early, packed up our car, and hit the road with big plans — and even bigger snacks!

Overnight in Philly — Museum Magic
Our first stop was Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love. We decided to spend the night and soak in some history, so we hit up the Museum of the American Revolution. Let me tell you, that place is a treasure trove of revolutionary spirit! We wandered through the exhibits, got inspired by the stories of brave patriots, and even took some fun photos with the reenactments. Perfect way to start our trip — a mix of history and good old Philly charm.

Chugging into DC — Helping Robert Out
The next day, it was time to head to DC. We arrived around 1pm to help Robert move to his new place in DC! We rolled up our sleeves, grabbed some cleaning supplies, and got to work. We hauled a few boxes, cleaned every nook and cranny, and felt pretty proud of our moving skills (okay, maybe just the cleaning part). After cleaning I drove across town to Robert’s new place while Grace and Robert took the subway.

Dog Park Shenanigans & Chill Vibes
Once arriving across town, we took a break at a nearby dog park — because what’s a little city adventure without some furry friends? The pups (and us) had a blast running around, chasing tennis balls, and soaking up the crisp DC air. Nothing beats that outdoor energy after a day of moving and sightseeing.

Columbia Heights, Here We Come
Finally, it was time to settle in. We headed over to our Airbnb in Columbia Heights, a vibrant neighborhood packed with cool cafes, murals, and tons of good vibes. After a quick unpacking session, we grabbed some local eats and just relaxed, soaking in the DC atmosphere and feeling pretty grateful for this spontaneous, fun-filled trip.
