Today was one of those perfect Boston summer days—sunny, breezy, and just warm enough to make you want to be outside all day. We decided to make the most of it with a city outing, and of course, we brought our dog Lucky along for the adventure.
We started the day by hopping on the subway in Chelsea. Lucky handled the ride like a pro, calm and curious, enjoying the new smells and people-watching opportunities. We got off near the Boston Common and took a leisurely stroll through the park. It’s always a treat to walk through the oldest public park in the country, and Lucky loved the wide paths, shady trees, and especially all the other dogs out and about.

For lunch, we picked up sandwiches from Flour and found a shady table on the patio to enjoy our meal. It’s hard to beat fresh food and people-watching in the heart of the city. Lucky even got a few crumbs from our lunch (lucky, indeed).
Afterward, we crossed over to the Boston Public Garden. The swan boats were gliding by, the flowers were in full bloom, and we took our time walking the winding paths and soaking it all in. Lucky was especially interested in the ducks by the lagoon—but thankfully, he kept his manners.

Next, we wandered down to Chinatown. The streets were bustling, filled with energy, color, and delicious smells wafting from every direction. We didn’t stop to eat, but it was a fun area to explore on foot, and Lucky was a hit with a few shopkeepers who gave him friendly pats.
Finally, we made our way to the Chinatown T station and caught the train back home to Chelsea. Lucky curled up at our feet, clearly satisfied with the day’s adventures.

It was a simple day, but a joyful one—city sights, good food, and the best company. Boston never disappoints.
