Today was a perfect farewell to Albuquerque, full of simple joys and meaningful experiences. I began the morning with an invigorating bike ride—just Lucky and me— soaking in the quiet beauty of the city as it came alive with the sunrise. Lucky’s boundless energy made the ride even more special, a peaceful start to the day.
Later, we explored Old Town, immersing ourselves in the charm of its galleries and shops. Each stop held something unique, a testament to Albuquerque’s vibrant culture. I savored a warm mug of Mexican hot chocolate, its spiced richness a real treat, and couldn’t resist some fantastic licorice as well—simple pleasures that added to the day’s delight.

The highlight of the day was the Sandia Tramway. The ride to the mountaintop was stunning, with panoramic views that felt almost otherworldly. At the peak, we indulged in dessert at 10|3, a restaurant perfectly perched to pair culinary delights with breathtaking vistas. It felt like a celebration of everything this city has to offer.

After descending, we visited the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History. Walking through its exhibits was both fascinating and thought-provoking, offering a deeper understanding of the science and history that have shaped our world. It was a visit that left us reflecting on the importance of innovation and responsibility.

As evening approached, we wrapped up the day with dinner at Thai Spice. The meal was a symphony of bold flavors, the perfect way to end our final night in the city. Back at our Airbnb, with Lucky resting and the lights of Albuquerque twinkling outside, I felt a wave of gratitude.

This day felt like a love letter to Albuquerque, a city that welcomed us and left us with countless memories. Here’s to the adventures that lie ahead, with this place always holding a special spot in my heart.
Tomorrow on to Amarillo!
