Our day in Québec City was packed with adventure, scenic beauty, sweet treats, and charming old-world charm. We kicked things off with an adrenaline rush at Montmorency Falls—which, at 272 feet, is even taller than Niagara Falls. The highlight? I ziplined across the roaring gorge, soaring nearly 1,000 feet across the gorge with incredible views of the cascading water and the St. Lawrence River. It was equal parts terrifying and exhilarating!

After that heart-pounding experience, we slowed things down with a relaxing drive around Île d’Orléans, the idyllic island just a short hop from the mainland. Known for its farms, wineries, and historic charm, the island was the perfect counterbalance to our morning adventure. We made a sweet stop at the Chocolaterie de l’Île d’Orléans, where we indulged in locally made chocolates, enjoyed a light lunch, and treated ourselves to some delicious ice cream—because why not?

We took our time circling the island, stopping here and there to take in the views of rolling fields, riverbanks, and quaint villages that seem frozen in time. After completing the full loop, we returned to our Airbnb to freshen up and recharge.

As evening approached, we headed into Old Québec, where the cobblestone streets and 17th-century buildings lit up with that magical golden hour glow. We hopped aboard the Québec-Lévis ferry, catching panoramic views of the city skyline, Château Frontenac, and the wide St. Lawrence River as the sun dipped lower. After a quick wander around Lévis, we rode back across the river and strolled through Lower Town, taking in the lively streets, art galleries, and shops tucked into stone buildings.

By the end of the night, we were thoroughly satisfied—physically tired but mentally recharged from a day that balanced thrill, tranquility, and timeless charm. Québec City never disappoints.
