Today’s adventure was all about getting Linda to her retreat in Barre, MA. We started by picking her up at her hotel and setting off on the road.
Our first stop was in Great Barrington, MA, a charming little town with a lively main street. We spent some time strolling past the shops, poking into a few, and enjoying the relaxed small-town feel. There’s also a short river walk, which turned out to be Lucky’s favorite part—he loved the fresh air and the sounds of the water. After about an hour of wandering, we got back on the road.

By midday we reached Springfield, MA, where we paused for lunch at Panera Bread. It was a nice break before the final stretch to Barre.
We arrived at the retreat in the afternoon and dropped Linda off to begin her stay. With that done, it was time for us to head back toward Albany and our Airbnb. On the way, Lucky reminded us he hadn’t had dinner yet—he made quite a fuss about it! We stopped to charge the car and pick up a small bag of dog food to tide him over. Once Lucky was fed and happy again, we continued the drive back, eventually settling in for the evening at our Airbnb.
It was a full day of driving and little adventures, but a smooth trip all around.
