After a few wonderful days in Quebec City, it was time to head west toward Montreal. We packed up our things and got moving around 10:30 in the morning, enjoying one last look at the charming streets before hitting the highway.
About halfway through the drive, we decided to take a break in Trois-Rivières. This historic riverside city turned out to be the perfect pit stop. We strolled around the downtown area, admiring its mix of old stone buildings and modern touches. The streets were quiet but full of character, and we found a cozy spot for a leisurely lunch that left us recharged for the rest of the journey.
Back on the road, we made good time into Montreal, arriving at our Airbnb in the late afternoon. After settling in, we kept things simple for the evening—a short walk to the nearby McDonald’s for dinner, followed by some time unwinding in the local park. Sitting on a bench, watching the neighborhood go by, was a peaceful way to end the day and ease into the Montreal vibe.
Tomorrow, the city awaits.
